Our principal podiatrist Cassandra Sternar founded Victorian Foot Clinic in 2015, initially offering home visits before establishing the clinic at Chelsea House in 2016.
Originally a podiatry clinic, in 2019 Victorian Foot Clinic expanded to also provide Chiropractic services, so that a greater range of conditions could be treated and a more holistic approach taken to the care provided.

At VFC, we understand that due to complex health care needs or mobility issues, it is not always possible to access health care outside the home. Victorian Foot Clinic Podiatrists are university trained to deal with the assessment, diagnosis and management of the foot & ankle. Below are just some of the services that we offer, including associated fees.
It is important to us that we spend enough time to thoroughly understand your medical history and presenting problem before undertaking any treatment. Therefore all initial appointments will be booked for up to one hour. Most review appointments will then be booked for up to 30 mins unless an extended time is required.
Initial Consultations, Neurovascular Assessments & Re-Assessments (Up to 60 mins):

Concession- $80
Review Consultations (Up to 30 mins):

Wound Care/ Charcot Foot: At Victorian Foot Clinic we understand the need and requirements for regular support to patient's with a foot ulcer; including frequent dressing changes, appropriate offloading and regular debridement. Therefore a reduced rate applies for active wound care and Charcot management to improve accessibility to the service.

Concession- $60
All Chronic Disease Management referrals will be bulk billed. If you work or study within the Parkville medical precinct then a 5% discount applies to the full fee.
Fees for custom orthotics, foot mobilisation therapy or ingrown toenail surgery will be quoted at time of appointment after your assessment.
Victorian Foot Clinic offers home visits to patients residing within North Melbourne, Parkville, Carlton, Princess Hill, Melbourne and Brunswick. An eligibility criteria for home visits apply. Please speak to our friendly staff if requesting our mobile podiatry services or if you would like us to visit your residential aged care facility or retirement village.

Payment Options
Fees are paid at the time of consultation. A cancellation fee of 50% will apply for not attending a scheduled appointment if 24 hours prior notice is not given. Please call the clinic if needing to cancel an appointment.
Victorian Foot Clinic accepts VISA / MasterCard / EFTPOS and Cash. HICAPS facilities are available for convenient on-the-spot health fund claims.

All patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes, arthritis, musculoskeletal conditions etc are eligible for medicare rebates for standard podiatry visits through the Medicare system. A Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan and referral will need to be completed by your G.P prior to attending your podiatry appointment in order to be bulk billed. Please bring your signed CDM referral with you to the appointment.

Please note: Bulk billing cannot be applied to Medicare Card holders without a Chronic Disease Management Plan as Allied Health is not covered under the Medicare scheme.
